Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No, you can book directly with us as a private patient without seeing your GP first.

We recommend booking from 6–8 weeks post-birth, though it can be beneficial at any stage after pregnancy or childbirth.

Yes. Pelvic floor physiotherapy can significantly improve symptoms of urinary incontinence, and many people experience a reduction in leakage or a full resolution of symptoms.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily, as we may assess your lower back, hips, and movement patterns.

Internal examinations are only carried out with your informed consent and will only take place if you feel comfortable proceeding.

This varies depending on your individual symptoms and goals. Your physiotherapist will discuss a personalised treatment plan with you during your assessment.

If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to book a brief consultation call with Megan. She can advise whether physiotherapy is appropriate for you or signpost you to another service if needed.

Yes absolutely! We don’t want childcare or breastfeeding to be a barrier to you attending.
