Our treatments page tells you more about the Conditions we treat.

We often help people who have tried other treatments and options without success or have multiple or complex issues. Our clinicians are expert problem solvers and will always work with you to get the best outcomes.

We work successfully with clients with long-standing conditions who have become resigned to ‘just live with it’. Although some conditions can’t be fully resolved we can give you the tools to manage pain and stay active.

If you’re unsure if we’re the right place for you, we offer a Free Consultation; this is an opportunity to discuss your condition and get to know our clinicians, who will listen to your symptoms and advise you on if we can help. ‘No matter the outcome of that consultation, you will come away with a plan of action, whether that’s to an initial assessment with us or a referral elsewhere if required. book yours today.

If you still need help, please get in touch and we can advise you on the best course of action.

During your initial consultation, your therapist will work out a treatment plan with a recommendation of how many sessions you will need to achieve your goals – be that getting back to sports or playing with the grandkids! We discuss this with you, so you know what to expect and when, and a planned discharge date.

We aim to get results as quickly as possible, but ensure lasting results too – quick fixes often lead to reoccurrences because underlying issues, such as posture or muscle imbalance, haven’t been addressed.

We use many different treatment techniques and during your initial assessment your therapist will advise on the best treatments for you, and explain why we are using them and how they work.

We believe in hands-on treatment and will always use this where suitable, combined with other techniques including acupuncture and dry needling, ultrasound, electrotherapy, kinesiology taping and rehab exercises.

Your treatment plan is a progressive course and we will adapt the treatments we use according to your stage of rehab and what works best for you.

For more information on the techniques, we use please see our treatments page.

Whether you have an appointment with us or just want to pop in for some information we would love to see you.
Address: 12 Stretton Court, Great Glen, Leicestershire LE8 8HB

We will talk through your condition in detail to get a really clear picture of what’s happening, how it’s affecting you and what you want to get out of treatment. We will then do a physical assessment, where we look at, feel and move the affected area and do any specialists tests that are needed. Once we have done this, we can work out a diagnosis and talk you through it, and make a start on treatment straight away.

Here we will check-in on your symptoms, continue treatment – either the same as previously or different as required, and progress your exercises.

We will review your symptoms in detail and re-check the physical assessment markers to see where you are compared to your first appointment. We want to ensure you have progressed and achieved the goals we set, so you can get back to doing all the things you love.

At your first appointment we allow time to discuss any previous issues you have had and what you are hoping to get out of treatment. We then get started with treatment straight away.

We have a client car park at the rear; please use Google or what.3.words – boxing.pupils.pushes

Follow the ‘private road’ adjacent to our building, turn left into the private car park. Please park courteously in the area signed ‘Byron Health Customer Parking’.
If there isn’t space available there are also parking spaces in the layby directly outside, or in the village car park off Main Street, adjacent to the library (follow signs or the google link).

We allow up to an hour for Initial Appointments and up to half an hour for Follow-Ups. This doesn’t necessarily mean it will take the full hour but means we aren’t rushed and can take the time we need to get the best results possible.

Sports Massage appointments are either half an hour or one hour.

Initial Appointments are £69 and Follow-Up Appointments are £62.

Payments are made in advance, by card, either in the clinic, over the phone or via secure web link.

If your treatment is being paid for by an employer or insurer, we request confirmation of your level of cover and payment arrangements prior to attending.

We are registered with WPA and can claim costs back directly from them on your behalf. We simply need your policy number and confirmation that they will cover treatment.

Because we are HCPC registered, some insurance companies will allow you to claim back costs, so it is often worth checking with your provider if they will accept our payment receipts and reimburse you.

No! You do not need a referral to see us, but we do accept referrals from other healthcare providers if you have been given one. To get booked in you just simply give us a call or use our online booking system.

It’s helpful if you can wear loose fitting clothing, a vest top, shorts or anything that makes accessing the affected area easier. Your therapist may ask you to remove an item of clothing to assess for any changes in colour, swelling, or musculature, or to do hands-on treatment.

If you have any letters or reports from other healthcare professionals, please bring them. It helps us to know what other opinions you have received in the past.

If it is a free consultation or an initial assessment we also recommend you bring your diary as you will likely need to book further appointments at this stage.

Treatment shouldn’t be painful; however, it can occasionally be slightly uncomfortable. This pain shouldn’t persist and will usually decrease session by session. Not all physio treatments are uncomfortable, especially if you are already in a lot of pain!

Yes! So long as time allows (which it does in 99% of cases). Our reasoning for an hour-long assessment is so we can get the ball rolling with treatment as soon as possible to get you back to your normal self as quickly as we can.
